You choose the sources
Tick which lectures, slides and pages the AI may use. Nothing you leave out is ever read, and nothing is mixed in from elsewhere.
fabo reads your Canvas course, answers with the page it found it on, and turns the material into flashcards, quizzes and practice exams. The files stay on your computer.
Built for students at Swedish universities. Works with Canvas.
Connect Canvas once. fabo downloads what you can see and gives you the tools to work with it.
Tick which lectures, slides and pages the AI may use. Nothing you leave out is ever read, and nothing is mixed in from elsewhere.
Every answer says which files it looked at and links to the exact page, so you can check it against what your teacher wrote.
Decks built from your material, reviewed with spaced repetition. Edit cards, add your own, or export to Anki.
Questions graded as you go, results by topic, and one tap to retry what you missed or turn a mistake into a flashcard.
What to focus on, ranked by how often topics came up, with worked examples, common mistakes and self-test questions.
fabo studies the old exams, learns their format, and writes new ones that look like the real thing. Sit one against the clock, then open the solutions.
Type your school email, then the code we send you. No password to make or remember. Prefer your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription? Skip this step.
Sign in to your school the way you always do, in a small window. fabo never sees your password; it only gets a key that you can delete in Canvas any time.
Pick a course. fabo downloads the syllabus, pages, assignments and files to your computer, and the course is ready.
fabo runs on your computer. This is the whole list of what leaves it.
Never: your Canvas password, or a copy of your course files. fabo's service keeps no copy of your questions or the answers; it only counts how much AI you used.
fabo's AI costs money to run, so every account gets a monthly allowance. Already pay for Claude or ChatGPT? Use that instead.
Yes. Every account gets a free monthly allowance of fabo's AI, and you can see how much is left in Settings. If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, you can use that instead and the allowance doesn't matter. A larger paid allowance is planned for later.
Students and staff at Swedish universities and university colleges, with their school email address. Anyone else can still use fabo with their own Claude or ChatGPT subscription, without an account.
No. fabo is built to help you learn: it explains, quizzes you, and gives feedback on a draft you wrote yourself. It is told not to write work that you hand in for grading. Check your course's rules on AI tools.
fabo is an independent project, not made by or connected to your school or to Instructure (the company behind Canvas). It signs in as you and reads what you can already see. The key it creates shows up in Canvas under Approved Integrations, where you can delete it whenever you like.
fabo isn't signed by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the first time. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll down and press Open Anyway next to fabo. You only do this once per version.
Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) for now. Windows isn't available yet.
It can be. That's why every answer links to the page it used, so you can check it. Treat fabo as a study partner, and your course material as the truth.
fabo is an early preview for Mac (Apple Silicon). It's free to start.
Requires macOS on Apple Silicon. Not signed by Apple yet; see the question above on opening it.
